Nine miles west of Sandusky on the shore of Lake Erie, Pickerel Creek Wildlife Area is another popular public hunting area for waterfowlers. To access most of Metzger's best waterfowl honey-holes, a boat is required, which can be powered by outboards up to 10 horsepower. With 30 acres of land and 500 of marsh, it's one of the most popular destinations for waterfowl and the hunters who pursue them on public land.
